Passion Projects

My name is Carly Baroh, and I am an American traveller currently based in Chennai India. 2 years ago, the age of 34, I quit my successful career in the Beauty & Fashion Industry, sold everything I owned to fund my travels. I left Seattle Washington with nothing but a plane ticket to Nepal and 1 backpack of belongings. I have been on the road ever since. I’ve backpacked solo through Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Belize, and Guatemala.

When I left I knew I wanted to travel with purpose, finding organisations along the way where I could make an impact, helping animals and the earth. I am now lucky enough to spend my time teaching yoga, volunteering at local animal rescues, doing animal rights activism, and spreading compassion through Veganism, all while exploring the world.

My goal is always to live as minimally as possible and have authentic local experiences. I hope that sharing my experiences helps inspire others to do the same.
